The Campus Acitivites Board at UCF is already planning for this year’s Pegasus Palooza. Earlier today, CAB tweeted some details about the concert and comedy shows lineups. UCF students, singers and recent winners of “The X-Factor” Alex Kinsey and Sierra Deaton will perfom alongside pop duo Karmin, which consists of Amy Renee Heidemann and Nicholas Louis “Nick” Noonan. Karmin is best known for their song “Brokenhearted.” The show, which is slated for Aug. 21, will be free to students with a valid ID. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. As for the 2014 Comedy Show, stand-up comedian and actor Hannibal Buress will take the stage.
Alex Kinsey doesn’t know when he’ll finish his University of Central Florida degree. But he will return to UCF to perform as part of Alex & Sierra at the Aug. 21 Karmin concert. Alex & Sierra, winners of “The X Factor,” are a real-life couple who started dating at the university two years ago. Sierra Deaton, 23, of Winter Springs is a UCF grad. Kinsey, 22, ofNew Smyrna Beach, is a senior.
When might he return to finish?
“I thought a lot about it. Now I don’t have time,” he told me last week. “If you take a look at our calendar, overall we had five days off in June. The thought of going back now is literally impossible if I want this to work. UCF provides online courses. Once things get to a more predictable schedule, then I’ll go back and try to finish.”
Alex & Sierra have released the catchy new song “Scarecrow.”
